Meet Angela Zarek

Dustin Dreese

ANGELA ZAREK  |  CLINICAL MASSAGE THERAPIST | PAIN RELIEF & MOVEMENT SPECIALIST

Hi, I’m Angela Zarek — a Clinical Massage Therapist with over 21 years of experience, a deep love for helping people heal, and a firm belief that sometimes life (and God) nudges us exactly where we need to be.

In 2020, life gave me one of those nudges — quite literally. I was hit by two running dogs, one after the other, in what became the most painful and life-changing moment I’d ever experienced. In an instant, I went from therapist to patient, forced to pause my successful private practice in Boston and face a long journey of recovery. That moment of stillness, though incredibly difficult, revealed something beautiful: I was being called home — back to my roots, back to Michigan, and back to family.

Before that shift, I owned and operated AMZ Clinical Massage Therapy in Boston for 15 years, where I specialized in treating chronic pain, injury recovery, and athletic performance. I’m proud to say that my career has allowed me to work with a wide range of incredible people — from Olympic and Iron Man athletes to CrossFit competitors, marathoners, triathletes, and professional motorsport teams.

I’m now licensed here in Michigan and nationally board-certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). I'm also a certified member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals (ABMP).

I trained at Soma: The National School of Clinical Massage Therapy in Chicago, IL, and have completed over 1,000 hours of clinical massage and bodywork training. My techniques are rooted in deep tissue, sports massage, active release, PNF stretching, myofascial release, structural integration, injury rehabilitation, lymphatic drainage, neuromuscular reeducation, scar work, Thai yoga massage, cupping, Gua Sha, and more.

What makes my work different? I don’t just treat symptoms — I go after the root cause. I’ve developed a unique blend of soft tissue and muscle release techniques tailored to each person’s needs. Every session is custom, incorporating Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Active Release Techniques, and targeted stretching/strengthening to not only relieve pain but empower long-term healing.

I’m here to help you move past pain and move forward in life. Whether you're recovering from an injury, battling chronic discomfort, or simply looking to move better and feel better, I’d be honored to be part of your journey.

Let’s work together to get you back to doing what you love — pain-free.

COVID Safety Update

Dustin Dreese

As Covid numbers continue to fall to pandemic lows, we have altered our safety plan to fall more in line with current CDC guidelines and state requirements. Starting 7/1/22, the following Covid policy will be in place.

  1. As infection rates have once again fallen, vaccinated clients now have the option of wearing masks in our studio, as do our therapists. We ask that non-vaccinated clients please continue to wear masks as new variants cause concern for all of us at this time. We’ve worked hard to keep you safe for the past two years, please continue to help keep us safe.

    • If you have a concern about a therapist being un-masked for your appointment, please just let us know. Our therapists are happy to mask up for your session to make you more comfortable.

  2. Curbside check-in will continue to be utilized. Please text or call the business line when you arrive for your appointments and we will let you know when we are ready for you to enter the studio.

  3. Air purifiers will continue to be utilized.

  4. Strict cleaning and sanitizing procedures will continue to be executed, just as we have always done even prior to Covid-19.

  5. Our self-service refreshment station which offers a variety of teas, coffee, and triple filtered water is available to clients again.

  6. As always, our linens are professionally cleaned and sanitized.

Mother's Day Massage Bundle

Dustin Dreese

There are a lot of ways one can define a mother. Being a safe and healing space gives us a glimpse into the wide range of feelings this day brings and the struggles that mothers and soon-to-be-mothers and hope-to-be mothers and the ones who gifted motherhood go through. We're honored to serve all the mother's, mama's, and grandma's in all of their glorious roles who come into our studio to rightfully fill their cup.

This year we're offering a special Mother's Day bundle to honor whoever fits that role for you -- Including yourself!!

This bundle includes:

  • A ninety-minute relaxation massage

  • Essential oils of their choice

  • A steam warm eye mask

❤️ Love from your favorite massage studio, today and every day.
