Lymphatic Drainage is extremely light work designed to activate the lymphatic system function and increase blood circulation. This non-invasive therapy promotes and stimulates a healthy immune system, reduces edemas (e.g. swollen ankles), and induces deep relaxation by stimulating the parasympathetic nervous system. It is used for individuals with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, irritable bowel syndrome, sleep disorders, diabetes, etc. It can also be used to increase tissue health before surgery, as well as recuperation time post-surgery.
Currently I offer a full body lymphatic drainage treatment intended for individuals with non-compromised lymphatic systems. Because of the nature of this work, there are varying levels of training required to work with individuals who have had lymph nodes removed or have chronic infections or inflammation.
If you are interested in Lymphatic Drainage, we can discuss your medical history and determine the best course of action. Many of my clients experience significant benefit from this modality, and I also am able to refer to higher level practitioners if needed.
